Thomas Tuchel’s first pre-season as Paris Saint-Germain coach has not been straightforward and the French champions are yet to win in the International Champions Cup, losing their most recent game 5-1 to Arsenal. This was preceded by a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich and, despite missing several key players to post-World Cup recuperation, the German will be keen for his players to get the taste of victory when they face Atletico Madrid this afternoon in Singapore.

Angel Di Maria has joined up with his teammates in Asia and he could well make an appearance at the National Stadium with this the final friendly fixture before Paris begin their season against Monaco in the Trophée des Champions on Saturday. It will also be interesting to see if Gianluigi Buffon, who featured in both other ICC fixtures, is given another chance to establish himself as the club’s undisputed No 1.

Atletico, meanwhile, drew with Arsenal in their first International Champions Cup game before beating them on penalties, and they have a further three friendly matches after today before they face city rivals Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on 15th August.

Diego Simeone has also named a weakened squad for their Asian matches, with attack in particular a problem – they are missing both Diego Costa and World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann. With the Spaniards likely to line-up in their usual 4-4-2 formation, Luciano Vietto and Kevin Gameiro will be massively important to the team’s system in the next few games.

As has been the case since the competition started, Tipbet have hundreds of top markets to bet on the International Champions Cup, with 118 alone for this afternoon’s clash. Given recent results it is Atletico Madrid that are favourites; they can be backed at 1.75 to win the game in normal time, with a draw (3.70) resulting in a penalty shootout.

Even with a weakened squad, PSG still have individual quality and they are therefore at a generous 3.95 to get their first tour win. There are plenty of other betting options at, including score handicaps and Draw No Bet. Make your match selections here.
