Rafael Nadal’s entertaining five-set win over Argentina’s Juan Martín del Potro means that he will face Novak Djokovic in tomorrow’s Wimbledon semi for a place in Sunday’s final. Whichever player advances will be heavy favourites against Kevin Anderson or John Isner, the former of whom eliminated reigning champions Roger Federer yesterday.
The Spaniard has already won the French Open this summer and is seeking his third title at Wimbledon. He is the second favourite at 2.45 in Tipbet’s season bets, slightly behind his Serbian opponent (2.35) who has won three Slams at the All England Club.
This should be a fascinating encounter and Tipbet have all possibilities covered. Djokovic is marginally more likely for the match at 1.80 compared to his opponent’s 1.90 – these odds show that it really is too close to call. A five-setter, then, is a real possibility and available at 3.05.
The other last-four clash is similarly close. Anderson is 1.85 to outright to reach his second Grand Slam final having been beaten in Flushing Meadows last autumn. Isner, who stands at 2.08m, is having the best tournament of his career and is 1.80 to take the next step and keep his dream of a major alive – at 33 this is potentially one of his last chances.
In addition, the ladies' draw is well catered for at Tipbet.com with markets for all fixtures up to the singles final, which takes place on Centre Court on Saturday with Angelique Kerber facing either Serena Williams or Germany’s Julia Görges.
Wiliams will be interesting to watch, should she make it to the final, having dropped to 181st in the world following the birth of her child, and she will be targeting her first Grand Slam since Australia 2017, and her eighth Wimbledon crown overall.
There are markets offered for doubles matches as well, all of which can be found in the tennis section of the Tipbet site. Wimbledon is an ideal time to take advantage of the plethora of promotion opportunities.
