In front of an 80,000-capacity crowd, the final of the major eSports tournament Worlds 2017 is bound to be a massively exciting encounter. This is the ideal scenario for all eSports fans and players.

The League of Legends World Championship has been taking place across China since 23rd September. In total, 13 regions competed at the global tournament and there have been some fascinating battles. The four arenas that hosted the games were the Wuhan Sports Center, Guangzhou Gymnasium, Shanghai Oriental Sports Center and the National Stadium – also known as the Bird’s Nest, which was opened ahead of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

The two teams competing in the finals this weekend are Samsung Galaxy (SSG) and SK telecom T1 (SKT). This is a re-match of the 2016 World Championship Finals, so it will be intriguing to see if Samsung Galaxy are able to beat the current champions.

The final is played to a best-of-five format, so the crowd is likely to be in for a treat as some of the most talented eSports players around compete for the Summoner's Cup. After the early part of the tournament – which comprised the play-in, and last-16 stage – this is how each finalist navigated the knockout stage.

SK telecom T1 3-2 vs Misfits Gaming in the quarter-finals; 3-2 vs Royal Never Give UP in the last-four.

Samsung Galaxy – 3-0 vs Longzhu Gaming, and 3-1 vs Team WE
