Tipbet, as the main sponsor of the German MMA Championship, will once again be a major presence at GMC 16, which is taking place this weekend at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. The sponsorship agreement covers seven events for Germany’s biggest mixed martial arts competition, with GMC 15 a major success earlier this summer.

Saturday’s event has plenty of going on, with hours of first-class fighting across the weight divisions, and these are some of things to look out for:

Mandy Böhm

Mandy Böhm missed out on GMC 15 due to an injury that she picked up earlier this year, meaning that her bout with Lili Panegirico has been rearranged for Saturday. Followers of Monster on Instagram will know that the German flyweight has been working hard in the gym to get back to her best.

The athlete, who is also sponsored by Tipbet, has a 100% record after four fights, beating Sandra Redengeld, Johanna Ropertz, Petra Castkova and Diana Tavares, with the most recent coming in February.

Tipbet branding

The Lanxess Arena will, as always, be adorned with Tipbet branding and logos throughout; from the spectator area to the centrepiece of the fighting cage. This displays our partnership and sponsorship of the GMC in all its glory, with the action starting at 17:00 CEST.

Passionate supporters

Fans travel from all over Germany to watch the country’s elite MMA competition, wherever it takes place. GMC 16 in Cologne will be no different, with the Arena having an 18,000 capacity and excellent transport links given its prominent location in the city centre.

Exciting fights

There will be several leading fighters on display on Saturday evening, with 17 fights scheduled in Cologne which includes Selim Agaev against the unbeaten Anton Mor. The standout match and main event comes with Stephan Puetz against Jan Gottvald, which is 17th on the schedule, and there is a packed undercard before the two experienced athletes clash; Gottvald has won seven of his eight previous fights, including against Marco Knoebel at GMC 15 in the second round.

Last-minute tickets for GMC 16, sponsored by Tipbet, are available and start at €26.
