Tottenham Hotspur produced an excellent comeback in Germany last night to beat Borussia Dortmund and secure their status as Group H winners.

The hosts, who were effectively only playing for third place and a Europa League place before the match kicked-off, took the lead when the returning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck his 16th goal of the campaign.

Spurs responded well after the break and Harry Kane equalized on 49 minutes to get his sixth group stage goal of the season – a new record for English players in the current format – before Son Heung-min gave the visitors the lead with just under 15 minutes to go.

The win means that Tottenham will be seeded for the last-16 draw, and they have overcome a difficult group that also included the holders Real Madrid.

Dortmund remain third and will drop into the Europa League if they can at least match Apoel Nicosia's result in their final game against Real Madrid.
