Fortuna Dusseldorf, who are sponsored by Tipbet and aiming to win the 2. Bundesliga this season to get promotion to the top division, suffered a heavy defeat last night at home as Dynamo Dresden surprisingly pulled out a clinical performance.

The visitors have struggled for form all season, but began the game incredibly strongly with Marco Hartmann, Lucas Röser and Haris Duljevic all scoring inside the opening 10 minutes to put them in a commanding position.

Fortuna responded in the 31st minute through Benito Raman, but they did not create enough in the remainder of the game to reduce the deficit further; though they did hit the crossbar through Takashi Usami.

The result keeps Dusseldorf in second, with their form falling away in recent weeks after a great start. Next up they have a crucial game against leaders Holstein Kiel.

Dynamo, meanwhile, are still in 16th but just two points away from being in mid-table.
