The first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final win over Manchester City will go down in history as one of the great Liverpool performances at Anfield, and the atmosphere was as good as it has been since their last final appearance in 2007. They will need similar backing on Tuesday night as they look to take a big lead to Italy against Roma.

Any side in the tournament would have taken Roma as the side between them and the Kiev final, but they must still be respected and have the potential to cause a further upset having dumped out favourites Barcelona in the last round. The Italians topped Group C – which included Chelsea and Atletico Madrid – and only lost once.

Then, in the last-16, they knocked out Shakhtar Donetsk before finally coming back from 4-1 down to defeat Barcelona. Domestically Eusebio Di Francesco has done a solid job and the club are third, with qualifying for next season’s Champions League looking very likely. The Rome outfit head to Merseyside having lost just once in the league since February, so remaining active in the tie will be their aim, as well as scoring an away goal.

Liverpool followed their 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth but, worryingly, they drew with West Bromwich Albion despite having a two-goal lead. Defensively the Reds have looked a lot more solid in recent months, though, and Virgil van Dijk – along with the improved Loris Karius – has widely been credited with this.

Jurgen Klopp will take nothing for granted despite the fact his side are heavy favourites. Liverpool can be backed at 1.55 with Tipbet to win the first-leg. Looking further ahead, they are 2.75 to win the trophy. Roma are 6.00 to take a lead back to Italy, while it is 1.60 that both sides score.

As well as these top odds, Tipbet also have a special promotion on next deposits made. The UEFA 100% Bonus is available for both the Champions League and Europa League – full details are available.
