Manchester United are the only team to have maximum points from their opening three games and they will expect that strong run to continue on Saturday evening when they travel to Stoke City. City’s home is notoriously tricky for the top teams to navigate, and the Potters have already seen off Arsenal in the opening weeks.

United’s start can be attributed to the dealings of Jose Mourinho in the summer transfer window. While title rivals Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were hurrying around on deadline day to acquire targets, the Portuguese could relax knowing that he had added three key players – Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku – to his ranks. The latter two have already been crucial to the side’s success; Lukaku has four goals in his first four appearances, including in the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid.

The Red Devils’ 100% record sees them as second-favourites to win their first Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired at the end of the 2012/13 season. Tipbet have them at 2.80 in their season bets odds, which is just behind Manchester City (2.20), with Chelsea (5.50) also expected to challenge as they look to retain their silverware despite a disrupted summer that saw them miss out on a range of key transfer targets.

Stoke, meanwhile, have had a solid start to their campaign and are in 11th place. As well as their impressive Arsenal result, they lost to Everton on opening day and drew with West Bromwich Albion. Given that they signed Jese Rodriguez on loan from Paris Saint-Germain – the Spaniard has a point to prove – Mark Hughes will be expecting a substantial improvement on last season’s 13th place finish.

Tipbet is a great place for Premier League betting. They provide odds on every game as well as which sides will be relegated, and which player will finish with the most goals. For Saturday’s match, they have United as clear favourites. They are 1.50 to get a fourth straight win, though even a draw (4.25) would keep them at least level with their rivals; United are yet to concede a goal. Stoke are at 6.75 and will undoubtedly make it tough for their opponents. Over 60 markets are offered.
